The initial signalling of the Wrexham to Buckley section was carried out by the Railway Signal Company; illustrated here is a small platform-level box of their standard design.

North of Buckley, McKenzie & Holland constructed the signalboxes to their design, and Dutton & Co., carried out some later work.

The Wrexham, Mold & Connah's Quay became part of the Great Central Railway in 1904.
