  • 50 Years Ago recalls a Ministry of Transport paper on half barrier level crossings that refers to 125mph trains in five years and 150mph trains in ten years.
  • 20 years ago notes that on May 15th 1998, Railtrack announced that moving block signalling would be installed on the WCML.
  • The Halton Curve project has been completed on time. The Frodsham area has been resignalled and Frodsham SB box has a new panel. The Runcorn end of the chord will be controlled by Manchester ROC.
  • Resignalling and LC improvements at Aviemore and Pitlochry are included in the Highland Line upgrade project.
  • Unusual Locomotives includes a 1959 shot of Finedon Road Yard with the SB in the background.

  • Steam Days at Melton Mowbray includes incidental photographs of the following SBs: Manton Junction, Edmondthorpe and Wymondham, Harby and Stathern, and Saxby Station Junction. There is also a photograph of a GNR somersault signal south of Long Clawson Tunnel.

20 July 2018
  • The new signalling centre at Didcot Railway Centre opened on June 23 2018.
  • The Mid Norfolk Railway will provide storage space for Greater Anglia Rolling Stock. The project includes installation of Electric Key Token working. Point rodding and other mechanical signalling equipment has been donated to the railway by NR. It comes from Great Yarmouth resignalling.
25 May 2018
  • Electric key token working has replaced staff and ticket working between Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol on the Talyllyn Railway.
