A photograph of the brick-built Belgrano 'C' box, situated on the third rail electrified suburban line out of Retiro station, Buenos Aires. This is a power installation, probably dating from the early 1900's.

The running signals are power-operated and semi-automatic. A shunt signal can be seen on the right, too.

Notice the miniature cabin providing accommodation for the separate level crossing attendant. Nice and convenient for access to the Pizzeria El Riel, too!
