THE SIGNAL BOX

OVERSEAS

THAILAND

Semaphore signals in Thailand around main centres are of German derivation, with twin arms on junction signals and the characteristic "blob" at the end. Distant signals do not appear to have been provided. Outside the centres, signalling can be quite rudimentary.

Double-wire lever frames were popular, and that Neale's Ball Token instruments were used for single lines - although lesser lines may have been worked by telephone block.
