Trent Valley LineThe Trent Valley section of the W.C.M.L. is to be increased from two to four tracks over the eleven miles between Tamworth and Armitage Junction at a cost of around £300 million. When complete this will see the closure of the LNWR signalboxes at Tamworth and Lichfield (May 2008) and the BR LMR PSB at Nuneaton with control passing to Rugby S.C.C. Lichfield closed on 24th May, Tamworth and Nuneaton were followed on August Bank Holiday weekend. |
