Greetland & EllandThe extension of Healey Mills PSB has seen the closure of the LMS “ARP” style box at Greetland and the BR ER box at Elland. Healey Mills panel now works TCB to Milner Royd Junction and Halifax. |

Clacton BranchResignalling on the Clacton branch from Colchester to Clacton-on-Sea and Walton-on-Naze has seen the replacement of all the 1950’s ‘searchlight’ colour lights with new equipment. The signal boxes at East Gates and Thorpe-le-Soken have been closed and replaced by a new workstation in Colchester PSB. Clacton box however remains. All level crossings on the route have now been modernised with barriers and CCTV control, including the controversial removal of the crossing gates at Frinton-on-Sea, a local landmark. |

Coventry – NuneatonThe Coventry – Nuneaton line has been resignalled with control being divided between West Midlands CC and Rugby SCC. This has resulted in the closure of the signal boxes at Coundon Road, Three Spires and Hawkesbury Lane. |

Greetland and EllandLMS ARP style box at Greetland (the former Greetland No2) and the BR ER box at Elland. The area is now controlled by Heally Mills PSB which now works TCB to Milner Royd Junction and Halifax. |

Toton.The latest stage of East Midlands Signalling Renewals has seen the Toton area come under the control of the EMCC at Derby. This has resulted in the Toton Panel in Trent PSB being abolished and also the closure of Stapleford & Sandiacre Shunting Frame. |

South WalesStage 1A of the South Wales Resignalling will see the opening of the South Wales Control Centre (SWCC) – initially it will signal trains between Patchway (where it will fringe to Bristol PSB) and East Usk. Further stages will see the abolition of most existing signal boxes in South Wales with aspirations to control the MArches Line all the way to Crewe. |

TrentWork over Christmas sees the completion of Stage 2B of East Midlands Signalling Renewals with the Trent Junction area transferring to EMCC. This involves the closure of Lock Lane Crossing Shunting Frame and means EMCC will then work to Derby PSB (towards Spondon and Castle Donington) and to Leicester SCC. |
